<div itemprop="description">Auguste Lionel Lafleur passed away peacefully at the Shellbrook Hospital on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the age of 99. He was born Friday, September 19, 1913 in the Spiritwood District to Charles and Blanche (Desjardins) Lafleur. Due to his mother&rsquo;s passing at an early age, he went to live with his uncle and aunt Paul and Antoinette Boyer at Royal Lake, SK. He attended Moulin School, and after Grade Eight, went to St. John&rsquo;s Jesuit College in Edmonton, then on to St. Matthew College in Gravelbourg, SK. Auguste farmed for several years at Royal Lake, and in 1947, moved to Prince Albert. He worked at the Prince Albert Sanatorium, Burns, and for many years at Beaver Lumber. He was an avid sportsman, loved baseball and hockey, and was a season ticket holder with the Prince Albert Raiders. He spent many enjoyable years at his cabin at Emma Lake. His passion was fishing and hunting. Auguste was a family man &ndash; his family was so important to him. He would light up when he was with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. Auguste will be remembered and greatly missed by his two sons: Peter of Meadow Lake and his children Kim (Rick) Johnson, Duane Lafleur, Brent (Joanne) Lafleur, Elaine Lafleur, Carol Ann (John) Decker; and Larry (Margie) Lafleur and their children Michelle (Brian) Nemish, Christopher (Susan Muench) Lafleur, Nicole (Chad) Holinaty; eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law Paul Garand; his stepsisters Marie, Irene and Lorraine; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Emilie (1998); his daughter-in-law Audrey (November 2009); his sister Antoinette Godin; his brother Eli Lafleur; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and stepbrothers and stepsisters. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 8 from Sacred Heart Cathedral, by Father Maurice Fiolleau. Interment will take place in Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family`s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the charity of the donor`s choice.
