<div itemprop="description">Marie Josephine C&eacute;cile Merkowsky of Prince Albert, SK passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 with family by her side at 91 years of age. C&eacute;cile is survived by her loving family: her seven children Armand (Louise) Merkowsky; Suzanne (Charlie) Demontarnal, AnnaLou (Mervyn) Brown, Dorothy (Lynden) Zwingli, Alex &ldquo;Dixie&rdquo; Merkowsky, Shirley (David) Porter and Camille (Calvin) Klimek; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; her brother Roger (Kathleen) St. Pierre; her sister Sister Th&eacute;r&egrave;se St. Pierre of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary; her brother-in-law Herman (Eveline) Merkowsky; her sisters-in-law Clare St. Pierre, Madaline Merkowsky, Dorothy Merkowsky, Gabe Merkowsky as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Joe Merkowsky; her grandson Shilo Klimek; her parents; her parents-in-law; her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. C&eacute;cile was born on March 20, 1922 in Prud&rsquo;homme, SK. Mom loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and her favorite flower was the calalilly. She was a great Mom always putting our needs before her own. We will miss you Mom. Rest in Peace. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Roger St. Pierre will officiate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 14 from Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 &ndash; 4 Avenue West by Father Maurice Fiolleau. Interment will take place in the Garden of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family&rsquo;s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation.
