<div itemprop="description">It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend to many, John R. Hall. John passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2016, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s, at the age of 94 years. Left to mourn are his daughter, Darlene (Robert) Hall-Davis of Prince Albert, SK, his son, Brian Hall of Saskatoon, SK, his daughter, Barbara Anderson (Paul Pelletier) of Edmonton, AB, his special friend, June MacDougall of Prince Albert, SK, his grandsons, Cameron (Lori) Hall, Craig (Cindy) Hall, and Adam (Erin) Anderson, his granddaughters, Candace (George) Shand, and Leanne (Brandon) Cottrell, his great-grandchildren, Marleigh Rae (Mike) Mandzak, John Hall, Cody Shand, Caitlin Shand, Brennan Hall, and Carson Hall, his great-great-grandchildren, Makena Cottrell, Charlie Cottrell, and Melody Mandzak, and his sister-in-law, Irene. John was predeceased by his wife, Doreen Hall, his son, Wayne Hall, his son-in-law, Raymond Anderson, and his three brothers, Harold, Tom, and Cecil (Dorothy). John Hall was born to John Charles and Isabelle Sarah Hall on Monday, August 1, 1921, in Whitewood, SK. The family later relocated to Moosomin, SK, where he was raised until he joined the army. John Hall served in WWII with the Regina Rifles as a radio operator from 1940 – 1945, and was one of our Canadian men who landed on Juno Beach. After the war, John worked for the Department of Natural Resources as a norther radio operator in Prince Albert and Hudson Bay, SK. Throughout his life, John was actively involved with the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans, the Royal Canadian Legion, the Regina Rifles, and the Masonic Lodge. The Hall family would like to thank Dr. A. Surkan and the 6th Floor staff of the Victoria Hostpital, for their care and compassion. A Celebration of Life for John will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at River Park Memorial Chapel, Rt. Reverend Charles Arthurson officiating. Full Veterans’ Honours will be conferred by members of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Anavets. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Alzheimer’s Foundation, Saskatchewan Branch, 301 – 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 3X1. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Memorial Chapel, 306-764-2727, Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.</div>
