<div itemprop="description">Mr. Robert Kenneth (Ken) Headrick passed away at the Herb Bassett Care Home in Prince Albert on August 26, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Ken was born on the family farm eighteen miles south of Shellbrook in the Silver Grove District. He attended Silver Grove School and left the family farm to begin his working career. On October 6, 1951, he married the love of his life Susan Nora Foster of Blaine Lake. They moved to Prince Albert in 1958. They became proud parents in 1959 when Garry was born and then again in 1963 when Bonnie was born. Ken worked for the city of Prince Albert, Beaver Lumber and finally as a journeyman carpenter for the DNR, and retired from SPRR (SERM). Ken is survived by his son Garry (Diana) and grandchildren Daniel and Shelbi of Regina; and daughter Bonnie (Fred) Chubak of Prince Albert; his brothers Ronald and Melvin of Edmonton AB; his sister Vivian (Alvin) Brouilette of Edmonton AB. He was predeceased by his wife Nora on July 16, 1981; and his parents Gleason and Kathleen Headrick. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31 at River Park Memorial Chapel, 301 River Street West, Prince Albert. Interment in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Alzheimers Society or to the Memory Lane Wing of the Herb Bassett Care Home.
