<div itemprop="description">Sister Pauline S&eacute;vigny of the Sisters of the Presentation, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the age of 82 in the Provincial House Infirmary. Prayer service will be held in the Provincial House Chapel, 1405 Bishop Pascal Place on Thursday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from this same chapel on Friday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. by His Excellency Albert Th&eacute;venot, Bishop of Prince Albert. Sister Pauline leaves to mourn the Members of her religious community; two sisters Carmel and Th&eacute;r&egrave;se; one brother Henri; one sister-in-law Henriette S&eacute;vigny (Delisle) as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Willie and &Eacute;milia (Chabot) S&eacute;vigny; six brothers and four sisters-in-laws Roger, Raymond (Gertrude Savard), Romuald (Eunice Jones), Laurent (Leona Kurtenbach), Robert (Rita Lajeunese) and Ernest; three sisters, brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law Jeanne (Clifford Haire), Eva (G&eacute;rard Boutin), Yvette (Lionel Blais), Aril Larose and Bill Robinson and Lydia S&eacute;vigny (Bisson). Sister Pauline S&eacute;vigny was born on July 26, 1933 in Mattes (Debden), the last of thirteen children. She attended school in Mattes and became a boarder in Duck Lake during her High School years. In 1950 she joined the Sisters of the Presentation at their Novitiate in St. Hyacinth QC in at the age of 17. Sister Pauline became an educator as a daughter of Marie Rivier and taught in many schools in Saskatchewan. Following her years of teaching, she was involved in a Religious Education program in The Pas Manitoba and later in pastoral work in the parishes of Bellevue, Domremy, St. Louis and Wakaw in Saskatchewan. In the 1986 she founded and directed the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary&rsquo;s Discernment House in Saskatoon and was involved in vocation ministry. Through the years she shared her spirituality and wisdom by engaging in spiritual direction, conferences and retreats. From her childhood days she dreamed of being a missionary. Her missionary heart loved to share the Word of God with everyone she met but in particular in the mission countries of Mozambique (1970-79) and The Gambia (2000-01) in Africa. She had a special place in her heart for the poor and less fortunate ones. She believed in empowering the laity and took every opportunity to spark the love of Christ in their hearts through the message of the Gospel. From 2004-2010, Sister Pauline generously accepted to serve as the Provincial Superior of the Sisters of the Presentation in the Prince Albert province. Her love for the community was sincere and she was a great spiritual animator. Her prayerfulness and zeal have truly touched many lives. Her last assignment, at the Novitiate in Bellevue then in this last year in North Battleford, was to share her profound knowledge of the Church, of the Congregation, of the Virgin Mary and Marie Rivier with the young women who are in formation to religious life. Sister Pauline will be lovingly remembered by her sisters of the Presentation, her family, students and friends for her enthusiasm, for her profound fidelity to prayer and sincerity in the service of God. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Sisters' Section, South Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Louise Robert and Don Moriarty, Funeral Directors</div>
